A PRAYER FOR VOCATIONS (DIOCESE OF ANTIGONISH) - The fourth Sunday of Easter, Christians are invited to reflect on the meaning of God’s call and to pray for vocations. Christ, the Good Shepherd, continues to lead his people through His Bishops, Priests, and Deacons, and call many to follow Him in this way. Priestly, diaconal, and religious vocations should be a constant concern in the hearts of God’s people. Heavenly Father, bless your Church with an abundance of holy and dedicated priests, deacons, brothers and sisters. Give those you have called to the married state and those you have chosen to live as single persons in the world, the special graces that their lives require. Form as all in the likeness of your Son as that in him, with him and through him, we may love you more deeply and serve you more faithfully, always and everywhere. With Mary we ask this through Christ our Lord. Amen.
QUOTE OF THE WEEK - "As a man must be born before he can begin to lead his physical life, so he must be born to lead a Divine Life. That birth occurs in the Sacrament of Baptism. To survive, he must be nourished by Divine Life; that is done in the Sacrament of the Holy Eucharist." - Archbishop Fulton J. Sheen
RELIGIOUS EDUCATION - Group sessions continue May 8 for primary, year two and six. Completed Home program units should be submitted to the parish office each month. Group sessions will continue until Monday, May 15.
