REFELECTION ON TODAY’S READINGS - Mercy and Forgiveness “Should you not have had mercy on your fellow slave, as I had mercy on you?” (Mt 18:33). Every time we pray the Our Father, we say, ‘Forgive us our trespasses as we forgive those who trespass against us.’ By this statement we are asking God to forgive our sins in the measure and manner that we forgive the sins of others against us, and we are also telling God not to forgive our sins if we do not forgive the sins of others. In today’s gospel we see a servant who received pardon for a huge offence/debt but failed to grant pardon to a small offender/debtor. The final statement of Jesus in today’s gospel reading is a warning directed to all of us: “So also will my heavenly Father do to every one of you, if you do not forgive your brother and sister from your heart.” (v.35)

Group sessions for year 1 & 3 will start as soon as materials arrive.
