REFELECTION ON TODAY’S READINGS Our God is Gracious, Kind & Generous - The parable of the labourers in the vineyard invites us to be fully immersed and committed to the mission for the realization of the Kingdom of God. The measure in which we accomplish this mission will be the measure of the realization of God’s plan in our lives. The hiring of the labourers by the owner highlights God’s initiative in saving the world. The owner goes out at different times of the day in search of workers. Hence, it is important to remember that before we search for God, God is already in search of us. The call of the labourers at different times of the day reveals God’s patience. The owner does not stop his search at nine o’clock in the morning, but extends it till the end of the day; he is dynamic and untiring; he gave ample time and opportunities to all. The invitation of labourers to the vineyard portrays the universal character of the owner because it extended to all. The invitation of the landowner even at the last hour of the day may seem strange, but in reality it reveals the goodness and the generosity of God. At times, we interpret God’s generosity as injustice. But in reality, it is a generosity which goes beyond the rigid law of justice. His generosity goes beyond that which we merit. Working for the realization of the Kingdom of God is an indispensable part of Christian life. One can begin to work at any time of the day, but the most suitable moment is the present moment. The reward will be the same: Eternal Life, Heaven!

RELIGIOUS EDUCATION parishioners are invited to work with the Rel. Ed. Program, we desperately need volunteers. Please pray every day for the Rel. Ed. Program, our parish needs young families. At the present time, Year 1 and Year 3 have catechists. Please contact Marie if you are interested. Group sessions for year 1 & 3 will start as soon as materials arrive.
